Silk texture — a quiet symbol of softness and strength

The name

Soft. And incredibly strong.

Silk is gentle in the hand and stronger than steel by weight. The name carries both ideas — and the families behind it. Sil from Silva, K from Kaus.

Nobody carries this alone. We help carry what life has made too heavy.

How we show up

Three commitments.

Practical Support

Real help during real hardship — stability, logistics, and relief when it matters most.

Structured Giving

Donor pathways for individuals, families, and companies — including corporate matching.

Dignity Through Crisis

Help delivered with respect, without judgment, without performance.

Built on stewardship

How giving moves.

Every gift moves through a continuous process — review, approval, support, and stewardship.

  1. Give

Donors and employers contribute to SilK Foundation through general giving, program funds, or approved participant support campaigns.

  2. Review

Requests are reviewed through a structured process that may include documentation, eligibility review, conflict-of-interest review, and board-approved procedures.

  3. Support

Approved participants may receive eligible support through direct vendor payments, reimbursements, or hardship grants, subject to Foundation policies and available funding.

  4. Sustain

Operations keep the system accountable, transparent, and capable of serving families responsibly.

  5. Continuous stewardship

Stand with neighbors in crisis.
