These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SilK Foundation of Texas website (the “Site”). SilK Foundation of Texas is the public name of the charitable organization legally named SilK Foundation. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Informational Nature of the Site

The Site is provided for general informational purposes only. Nothing on the Site constitutes medical, legal, financial, clinical, tax, accounting, or professional advice, and the Site is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.

Charitable Assistance

All donations are charitable gifts to SilK Foundation. Donors may indicate a preferred program or approved participant support campaign; however, SilK Foundation retains full discretion and control over all funds and will use contributions consistent with its charitable mission, board-approved policies, donor intent where permissible, and applicable law.

Program funds and approved participant support campaigns are controlled by SilK Foundation and administered in accordance with charitable assistance policies, donor intent where permissible, available funding, and applicable law.

References to program areas describe intended charitable focus and approval processes — not guaranteed services.

Donations

All contributions are voluntary and final once processed. Donations are subject to the policies of the third-party donation processor used at the time of giving. SilK Foundation reserves the right, consistent with applicable law and IRS guidance, to apply contributions where most needed within its charitable purposes.

Intellectual Property

The Site and its content — including text, graphics, the SilK Foundation rose mark, the SilK Foundation wordmark, logos, page designs, and code — are the property of SilK Foundation or its licensors and are protected by U.S. and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or use any SilK Foundation marks without prior written permission.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use the Site in violation of any law; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site; (c) interfere with or disrupt the Site or its security; (d) scrape, harvest, or collect information from the Site for unauthorized purposes; or (e) impersonate any person or entity, including SilK Foundation directors, officers, or staff.

The Site may link to third-party websites. SilK Foundation is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third parties. Linking does not imply endorsement.

Non-Discrimination

SilK Foundation of Texas serves people with dignity and respect and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other status protected by applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Venue for any dispute shall lie in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
