Eligible situations may include catastrophic illness, disability, caregiving burden, bereavement, medical crisis, accessibility needs, family stability needs, or other serious life-disruption hardships.
Review process
How applications are reviewed.
Submission of an application does not guarantee approval or funding.

- The nature and severity of the hardship
- Documentation of need
- Eligible support categories
- Available Foundation resources
- Potential conflicts of interest
- Alignment with SilK Foundation’s charitable mission and policies

What documentation may include.
- Doctor note or diagnosis confirmation
- Medical bills or equipment quotes
- Insurance denial or coverage information
- Social worker or care provider letter
- Home accessibility estimate
- Funeral or bereavement-related invoice
- Housing, utility, or household stability documentation
- Power of attorney or guardianship documentation, if applicable
